Finally, floral beards have met their perfect match.
Harnaam Kaur’s life as a bearded lady hasn’t always been easy to embrace. Having dealt with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) since a very young age, Harnaam is no stranger to bullying but bravely chooses to embrace what sets her apart from most other women.
Bullying is but only a fraction of the challenges faced by women with PCOS, infertility and severe hormonal imbalances also hinder their womanhood. Despite beards being branded as a side effect of this endocrine system disorder, Harnaam Kaur wears hers with pride and has even become known as ‘The Bearded Dame.’
In a recent photoshoot with Urban Bridesmaid for Rock N Roll Bride, Harnaam proves that facial hair isn’t necessarily a flaw. Rocking a floral beard, she frocked up and flaunted her femininity, inspiring women to appreciate their imperfections.

Harnaam Kaur continues to be an incredibly inspiring advocate for anti-bullying and is well known for exercising a positive outlook towards body image. Her willingness to face what societal norms she’s confronted with may very well be a launchpad to an alternative modelling career.
“I want to show society that beauty isn’t just about looking a certain way,” she said. “We are all so different, and we should all celebrate our individuality.”
Perhaps the ‘bridal beard’ is just the break in tradition we were all waiting for, a break from the pressure all women face to look a certain way.
After all, isn’t true beauty in the eye of the beholder?
